Kayzed ISO Certification has issued over 11,000 ISO 9001 certifications to clients that have achieved management excellence in their quality management systems.
ISO 9001 certification has been adopted by over 1 million organisations across the world and is used by businesses like yours to continually monitor, manage and improve the quality of their products and services.
It is a powerful business improvement tool, providing the framework and guidance you need to help you consistently meet your customer’s expectations and regulatory requirements.
What is ISO 9001?
ISO 9001 is the International Standard for Quality Management, first published in 1987 by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), it is one of the most commonly used management tools across the world. The current version of ISO 9001 is ISO 9001:2015 which includes more focus around customer satisfaction.
It is designed to help organisations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders, by having a framework in place that drives improvement while helping to ensure consistent quality in the provision of goods and/or services through the correct application of a quality management system.
In order to achieve this certification, our ISO 9001 auditors will perform a gap analysis of your existing processes against the requirements of the ISO 9001 Standard, producing the management system for you while also creating a bespoke plan (with straightforward actions) that will help your business to gain ISO 9001 certification status.

How often do we need to renew our ISO 9001 certification?
Your initial certification will last for 1 year when the certification cycle begins. At Citation ISO Certification, we operate a 3-year certification cycle process. The process involves a series of audits carried out over a 3-year cycle, which are known as re-certification and surveillance audits.
At the end of your initial 1-year certification cycle, we will perform a re-certification audit. Upon the successful completion of this, you will be awarded a second certification that lasts for 3 years. Surveillance audits will then take place after your first year, and the cycle will be repeated as long as you remain certified with Citation ISO Certification.
How long does ISO 9001 certification last?
In accordance with ISO 17021, accredited certification bodies are required to issue certified organisations with certificates that are reflective of a 3-year certification cycle.
Certifications can be issued for longer than this period providing the requisite external audits are performed and the certification cycle followed. QMS typically issues certificates over the period of a ten year contract.
